Tom Ridge to Address Global Security Issues at World Affairs Council

Secretary Tom Ridge will join former Vice President Al Gore, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair, Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Howard Koh and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell on Friday, November 6, 2009 for “The New Global Dynamic: Critical Security Issues in the 21st Century,” a conference hosted the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia.

Secretary Ridge, the former governor Pennsylvania and the nation’s first secretary of Homeland Security, will open the conference with a discussion of national security and its vital links to energy independence, climate instability and global health. Now president and CEO of Ridge Global, Secretary Ridge also will offer insights into the formidable and ongoing challenges of executing and coordinating a comprehensive national security strategy in an increasingly global world.
