Ridge Global CEO Tom Ridge spoke at the annual Ambrosetti Workshop, held each year at Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy.
In a forum entitled, “Leadership in the World in the Coming Years,” Secretary Ridge discussed key challenges facing world leaders, including the next president of the United States, as well geopolitical scenarios playing out now across the world at large.
“Security and prosperity is tied, now and forever more, to our interdependence on one another,” Ridge told the audience. “With that understanding, we must re-commit ourselves to greater diplomacy, increased humanitarian needs and security solutions so that we stand ready to address any situation collectively, appropriately and swiftly.”
Secretary Ridge was joined in the discussion by Amre Moussa, Jose Maria Aznar and Richard Holbrooke.
Each year, the Ambrosetti Workshop brings together approximately 200 people, including heads of state, top representatives of European institutions, ministers in office, Nobel laureates, and internationally renowned experts to discuss forecasts about worldwide economic and political situations. The Forum, established in 1975, is sponsored by The European House - Ambrosetti, an Italian consulting firm.
