Ridge Global’s Global Trade Security Practice Leader, Luke Ritter, discussed the latest improvements in transportation security at the American Society for Industrial Security’s annual conference.
Mr. Ritter, author of Securing Global Transportation Networks, spoke on improvements in both the transport of goods and travel - including improvements in government regulations, as well as better cooperation between the public and private sectors.
“We have made a lot of progress,” said Ritter. “We also have a long way to go as we work together to build security and resilience into the global transportation system.”
Each year, members of the international security community meet at the ASIS conference to address ways to minimize risk through networking, education and technology. Held in Atlanta, GA, ASIS 2008 focused on the knowledge, tools, planning and implementation strategies required to reduce risk and cultivate reward.
