“Assuming that passive scanners emerge that are ultimately capable of detecting shielded special nuclear material, management gets a viable security solut ion with no associated labour concerns; labour is provided the opportunity to work side by side with cargo scanning technology that does not pose any potential health hazard; and the environment gets the benef it of a green technology solution that does not require radioactive emissions to be effective.”
