Ridge Global CEO Tom Ridge, the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security and a two-term governor of Pennsylvania, today announced the appointment of Luke Ritter as head of Global Trade Security at Ridge Global LLC, an international provider of strategic consulting services.
“Efforts to protect trade require a comprehensive focus on improving security throughout the entire supply chain,” said Ridge. “As the former founder and CEO of Trident Global, Luke brings both leadership and a respected client base that further expands Ridge Global’s reach and expertise in the critical area of supply chain management.”
Maryland-based Trident Global specialized in security and efficiency issues in multi-modal commercial transportation. As its chief executive, Ritter led the company’s services portfolio in global trade and transportation operations, security and resilience and business process improvement. Additionally, Ritter is the co-author of: Securing Global Transportation Networks (McGraw Hill, 2006), which has received widespread critical acclaim from industry publications and was selected as the American Society for Industrial Security’s Book of the Month in December 2006. Ritter is one of the pioneers of the Total Security Management (TSM) approach, introduced in the book.
“Governor Ridge and his team are much admired for their ability to develop and deliver innovative solutions to today’s security challenges,” said Ritter. “I’m honored to join in the mission as we work together to help our clients turn those complex challenges into clear competitive advantages.”
